DRY CREEK BRIDGE PROJECT UPDATE

November 2022: The GSRTA is making progress toward tearing out the old bridge and installing a new one.  During the last four months there has been an Archaeological site survey and report completed, the environmental report has been finalized and submitted to the Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC) and Shasta County Public Works.

GeoServ, the consulting engineering firm, has completed the design of the old bridge removal and the new bridge installation.  Final site plans and hydrological calculations are complete and preparation of construction contract bid documents is well under way. GSRTA expects to publish a Request for Proposals for construction bids before the middle of January.  Firms interested in receiving that RFP should email the GSRTA at askus@greatshastarailtrail.org.
