Giving Tuesday is November 28

It’s time to “Give Where You Live”. Kick off for North State Giving Tuesday, which is Tuesday, November 29th from 6AM – 8PM, ,began “early giving” on November 15. Giving Tuesday offers a special daylong opportunity to fundraise for 191 local nonprofits at www.northstategives.org.

Similar in format to online shopping, donors can give to their favorite non-profits a minimum of $10.

April Gray, Treasurer of the Great Shasta Rail Trail, commented “We enjoy our participation in this big community event. It is our annual outreach to individuals and businesses who appreciate the trail’s value as a link to the region’s recreation areas and who use, intend to use, or benefit in other ways from the trail. Proceeds help us pay our bills, maintain the trail, and apply for grant funds to support larger projects like rehabilitating the Lake Britton bridge.” The quickest way to donate is to click here:

The 14-hour North State Giving Tuesday online event kicks off the ‘charitable season’ and is largely powered by social media marketing and grassroots campaigns. Generous local sponsors have made possible over $75,000 in prizes to be announced throughout the day on November 29th. Follow the excitement on social media with #NSGT22.

Now in its 10th year, the Community Foundation’s work hosting North State Giving Tuesday helps nonprofits market themselves via the website platform www.northstategives.org. Donors can pledge donations of time or money to address local challenges and support the causes they care most about. More information is available at www.northstategives.org. “North State Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity to not only financially support the amazing work that our North State nonprofits do, but also showcase these organizations on a larger scale,” said Kerry Caranci, Chief Executive Officer of the Community Foundation.
